Mexico, Close to Paradise, and the Midwest
Visiting Mexico can be a life-changing experience and it is most often one of the first international destinations North American travelers experience. Travel is the best way to learn that the world is more than a sound-bite on the evening news. Mexico is blessed with imposing landscapes and beaches, rich with biodiversity and warm friendly people. A trip to Mexico will leave you seduced by its abundance of rare beauty and unique culture.
Starting on the west coast sitting on the end of Baja California visitors will find a wide variety of unbridled adventure from spotting gray whales off the coast to cage diving with great white sharks off the Guadalupe island or swimming with peaceful whale sharks in the Sea of Cortez.
Los Cabos is one of the most Mexico’s most popular tourist destinations thanks to the combination coastline and world-class dining, and outdoor. Los Cabos also services as the main golfing destination in Mexico, with 18 splendid courses along the 20 mile tourist strip connecting the two towns. Once an old fishing Village Cabo has become a beautiful tourist center with first-class resorts restaurants plenty of shopping with nightclubs in a vibrant cruise port.
A short drive from San Jose del Cabo you will find Cabo Pulmo National Park, one of the few coral reefs on the Pacific East Coast and the only one in the Sea of Cortez. Warm currents and cold waters converge in this area offering a great diversity and abundance of marine species that can be explored via snorkeling or scuba diving tours as well as offering the perfect setting for sport fishing. For those wishing to venture a little bit out of the tourist Zone a visit to La Paz is worth the drive will.
Known for its stunning beaches and ideal for rest and relaxation with smaller resorts and great price points it is also the gateway to the Sea of Cortez, baptized “The Aquarium of the World” by Jacques Cousteau. Espiritu Santo Island located the very north of La Paz Bay is a UNESCO protected area thanks to it being one of the best conserve ecosystems on the peninsula.
